Congratulations to Gareth Kelly, NLTG’s Job Centre Learner of the Year 2023 winner!

Gareth’s journey in both his personal and educational development has been nothing short of amazing. From a shy individual, to becoming NLTG’s Job Centre Learner of the Year 2023 winner, is a testament to Gareth’s resilience and hard work.

Gareth now owns his own flat and stands as the main caregiver for his family. His achievements include completing a work placement at B&M and he is now awaiting the outcome as to whether he has secured full time employment.

The NLTG Awards judging panel recognised Gareth’s outstanding efforts, commenting:

“Gareth has had to overcome significant barriers throughout his life, including a period of homelessness and addiction. To be able to turn his life around with these significant challenges and engage in learning to this level is remarkable.”

Gareth’s story is an inspiring reminder that with determination and support, individuals can triumph over adversity. Congratulations to Gareth for this well-deserved award; he is an inspiration to others on their journey to success.
