Wherever you work and no matter what job you do, making sure you provide the best possible service in a friendly manner can set you and your company apart from the competition. If you’re a ‘people person’, have good communication skills, are positive, professional and a good listener, this route could be for you!

Customer Service will allow you to further develop your skills which will be valuable to employers in a wide range of sectors from travel, retail, finance, health care and childcare, to engineering, business, hospitality and catering.

With a range of different sectors comes a range of different customers, all of which require a high quality service. Your day-to-day tasks could be anything from processing sales, orders and payments, to fixing problems and arranging after care services. These customer interactions may be carried out face-to-face, over the phone, via email or even through social media platforms.

The standard of your delivery will influence the customer experience and their satisfaction with your organisation.


Level 2

What training will I receive?

You’ll receive real-life training from experienced staff within your workplace, and be visited regularly by a specialist NLTG Tutor. Your Tutor will support and guide you throughout your Apprenticeship, making sure you develop the skills needed for your job role. As part of your Apprenticeship, you will need to complete a maths and/or English qualification if you do not already hold these qualifications; the level at which you will study will depend upon your Apprenticeship. You may also need to study an ICT qualification. Your NLTG Tutor will provide you with support and guidance.

I am currently working towards my Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship at Missguided. As a Complaints Adviser, my job role involves resolving customer complaints, contacting couriers to resolve issues reported, processing refunds and replacements when necessary and referring any further issues to the relevant department. This Apprenticeship is really benefiting me as an individual because the skills I am learning in my qualification not only help me at work, but also help me in my day to day life.
