England legend Kevin Keegan set to star at NLTG event as World Cup fever hits the county

With World Cup fever set to hit the country once again in November, North Lancs Training Group (NLTG) are ramping up the excitement with an extra special Sportsperson’s Dinner including former England star and manager Kevin Keegan OBE, all in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Taking place at The Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Accrington on Friday 4th November, just over two weeks before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, NLTG will host an evening with the ex-Liverpool and Newcastle United forward, who played for England at the 1982 World Cup.

Mr Keegan OBE, enjoyed an England career spanning 10 years following his debut in 1972 against Wales, with 31 of his 63 international caps coming as captain of the national team. He also spent time managing England between 1999 and 2000.

Alongside his appearance at the Sportsperson’s Dinner, there will also be raffle prizes and a live auction followed by top comedian Josh Daniels.

Tickets are selling fast for the event, with both standard tickets (£55 per person) and sponsorship opportunities available including Gold, Silver and Bronze packages.

Included in the Gold Sponsorship (12 tickets – £900) is a champagne reception, personal meet and greet with Mr Keegan OBE, sponsor photograph with the former England captain which will be printed and framed on the night, prime seating, entry into the sponsors draw, as well as a feature in the event programme.
