Barker Welding Supplies was founded in 1972 and we provide welding consumables, servicing and training provisions.
We have a team of fully qualified engineers who operate at both our site in Bolton and at customers sites throughout the country.
We have a purpose built factory on site and are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company.

Description

• Producing training certificates
• Updating the training database
• Producing a list of names and sites which require training every month and sending this to the sales team
• Emailing customers certification
• Emailing customers at intervals to ask if they have new starters and are happy with the training
• Letting the sales team know if any additional training is required
• Producing calibration certificates
• Producing MCT certificates
• Emailing customers certification
• Letting the service team know if there are any calibration repairs required, which machines have failed so they can organise collection and a quote for the customer
• Meeting with Chris and Oli twice a day and updating the repair database
• Meeting with Chris and updating the weekly machine sheet and emailing it to Phil every Wednesday
• Liaise with customers over repair updates
• Stock check the engineering stores at the end of every month and emailing Alex
• Organising the engineering stores, putting stock away
• Organising the engineers service sheets, part numbering them and getting prices from manufacturers, emailing Alex the prices so he can forward this to the sales team
• Scanning in the service sheets , renaming them and organising them by month on our global system
• Stock check the engineers service sheets, letting Alex know which need ordering
• Stock check the engineers calibration and lev stickers and letting Alex know which need ordering
• Updating basic LEV reports
• Speaking to LEV manufacturers to price up parts required from the reports
• Arranging LEV quote costings and emailing to Alex to forward onto the sales team
• Secondary Role- helping the engineers in the workshop if required
