We are a large GP surgery with a firm Christian foundation and a calling to serve some of the hardest-to-reach patient groups.
We have 4 surgery locations across Blackburn and Oswaldtwistle, all with friendly, dedicated, and busy surgery teams.

Description

• Help take incoming calls from patients and other callers,
• Greet patients (who come in person to the reception counter),
• Make appointments and signpost patients to the right clinician,
• Look after / manage the post, receive e-mails,
• Help with filing and photocopying,
• Learn how a clinical patient management system operates and is updated,
• Help schedule the use of clinical and meeting rooms,
• Providing refreshments from time to time.
• The right candidate might even be expected to take on some secretarial / further administration duties.
• Be familiar with and follow all protocols and procedures required for their role, including but not limited to: Data Security, Safeguarding, Equality and Health and Safety.
• Keep up to date with all mandatory training and role specific modules.
• Look after some stationery supplies
• Help to keep the reception area and waiting rooms tidy.
• Work closely with many people in the office, but especially with the reception, secretarial and administration teams for whom they might have to provide sickness or lunch break cover.
