Due to our continued success, we are looking to add to our first-class team and appoint a Business Development Consultant.
Title: Business Development Consultant
Job Type: Full time/permanent.
Salary: Up to £35,000 + benefits including company car, healthcare, pension and other privileges.
This is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector.
Applicants must have proven B2B sales experience (apprenticeships, commercial training, or recruitment preferred), strong negotiation, networking, and presentation skills and the ability to generate and convert leads into long-term business relationships. Experience with CRM systems, strategic sales planning, and hitting/exceeding sales targets is crucial. Knowledge of apprenticeship funding & levy would be an advantage but not essential.
The successful applicant will be results-driven, with responsibility for generating new business, developing existing accounts, and engaging employers to promote apprenticeship and training solutions. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong relationship management, and a drive to meet and exceed targets.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role will be to develop and manage employer relationships to identify and sell training solutions to achieve a minimum of 20 new starts per month across training programmes. This involves managing a sales pipeline, CRM, and employer engagement activities to offer a consultative approach to employers and help them maximize their apprenticeship levy. Identifying new business opportunities, attending networking events, and represent the company professionally are all part of the role as well as conducting high-level research to develop tailored sales solutions.
