You may have a passion for cooking, or want to work in the service side of the industry providing a front of house, reception, events, bookings or housekeeping service. Our Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship will allow you to train in one of the following 5 roles.
You’ll gain skills in delivering reception operations and dealing with customers with regards to communication and after care. Duties include supporting an efficient checking in/checking out service for customers, answering enquiries and taking reservations and bookings face to face, on the telephone or on-line.
You’ll gain a variety of skills, including procurement of additional products and services in order to meet customer needs for an event/wedding. Duties will include, communication with customers, suppliers and team members.
You’ll meet and greet customers, coordinate with suppliers of guest services and other organisations and source information that support customers’ experience, promote services such as valet parking and stores or transfers customers’ luggage, book external/additional service.
Providing outstanding customer service, you’ll welcome customers and provide an efficient checking in and out service. You’ll answer customer queries and take reservations face-to-face, on the telephone or on-line, maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times.
As a housekeeper you’ll be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a range of public areas (such as receptions) and bedrooms, including the fixtures, fittings, floors and furniture. You’ll learn the techniques, chemicals and agents required to ensure high standards are maintained, and identify and report any maintenance needs.
Up to 16 months (ie a practical training period of 12 months, followed by an End Point Assessment (EPA) period of up to 4 months).
You will have to take a Skills Scan to ensure your current level of maths and English is at the required level.
