We are one of the largest training providers in the country and we pride ourselves on the quality of our services to our learners.
We were established in 1969 and are owned by approximately 60, mainly furniture, companies located in the north west of England and Northern Ireland.
The North Lancs Training Group has been training young people for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience when supporting youth. In fact, 40 of the Group's professional staff are ex NLTG apprentices.
The suitability of all NLTG staff to work with young people has been screened by the National Criminal Records Bureau.
We are committed to the continuous improvement of our service and we employ a team of professional people who are constantly undertaking training and development.
We are committed to total learner satisfaction with the emphasis on individuals and their needs.
There are over 1000 companies who train or have trained Apprentices/Trainees through our Group. We also offer a recruitment service, which is of great benefit to employers when considering an Apprentice/Trainee.
We deliver Advanced Apprenticeships, Apprenticeships and NVQs in a wide variety of occupations - Furniture and Interiors Occupations, Woodmachining, Business Administration, Customer Service, Information Technology, Catering and Hospitality, Food Manufacturing, General Manufacturing, Warehouse and Storage, Glass Occupations and Carpentry and Joinery.
NLTG also offer e2e, the exciting pre-apprenticeship programme tailored to suit the needs of young people. It is a programme that was introduced in 2003 and aims to help young people who are not yet ready, or able, to directly enter employment or an Apprenticeship.
We have a Centre of Excellence for the woodmachining and furniture trades.
