Plumbs are a family owned re-upholstery and soft-furnishings specialists. We re-upholster/repair and/or refurbish a wide range of furniture items.

Description

Working within a smaller training-line area, approximately 5 - 8 people you would have a dedicated trainer/mentor.
Activities would include:
• Stripping down items of furniture
• Re-constructing/replacing the filling materials
• Re-covering the items to the customers requirements
• Cutting, sewing (possibly), upholstery, finishing and quality control.
• Working toward Health and Safety guidelines

Educational Requirements

• GCSE grades A* - E in maths and English or Level 1 Functional skills - desirable but not essential as further training and support will be incorporated into the Apprenticeship.

On achievement of the L2 apprenticeship, progression onto piece work is possible with improved earning potential.
