Little Lever Health Centre is a well-established family Gp surgery, situated in the suburb of Bolton, consisting of 2 Doctors, 2 Prescribing Pharmacists, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Healthcare Assistant, 1 Health Trainer and a full admin support team. We are forward thinking practice, well structured, well organised with a dedicated holistic approach to patient care. We are on the boundary of Bolton, Bury and Manchester, with excellent motorway access.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To welcome patients in a friendly, efficient and helpful manner.
• Handle all queries efficiently and courteously, according to practice procedures.
• Answer the telephone in a polite and helpful manner, taking appropriate measures to ensure provision of an effective service.
• To deal with all patient queries in a professional manner, which includes resistering patients, arranging appointments, ordering prescriptions and sorting them in alphabetical order.
• Open incoming mail as distributing necessary
• Taking requests for and bookings ambulances

• Ability to organise work effectively and efficiently
• Ability to plan time, prioritise workload and work to deadlines
• Can work as part of a team and alone with minimum supervision
• Advanced keyboard and secretarial skills, requiring high degree of speed and accuracy
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible approach to work
