Throughout my time at James’ Places, as a Head Chef and now as Group Head Chef, NLTG has been the number one training group for our company. We have found that they help to support, encourage and develop our apprentices alongside our continuous work based training.

Martin Houghton has continuously provided the company with help in our recruitment process and is a familiar face throughout our sites, mentoring apprentices throughout their development.

We are passionate about training our staff, helping them to develop, watching them flourish in their careers and moving on and up, whether within the company or elsewhere. We expect this relationship with NLTG to continue for many years to come.

Case Study - Dan Porter

Chef de Partie at Mitton Hall Hotel

Dan has been at Mitton Hall for 12 months. Prior to this, he was working as a chef in a garden centre kitchen cooking cafe food. Dan is now preparing high quality food for various menus and working on the pastry section making different types of fresh bread, pastries and hot and cold desserts for the hotel guests and wedding receptions.
