Course Overview

A Fitted Interiors Installer prepares and installs a range of fitted furniture, such as kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms (including bathroom furniture, for example baths, WCs and showers), and offices, in both domestic and commercial settings, including consumer homes, offices, shops, exhibitions, and boats.

They will be responsible for pre-installation surveying; sales and plan interpretation; transporting tools and materials to site; preparing locations; making the assembly and placement area ready for work; and preparing the furniture components for assembly. In their daily work, an employee in this occupation interacts with the installation team, site managers, project managers, designers, design technicians, customers as well as other trades, for example plumbers and electricians. They are often responsible for project management and customer liaison, which includes building customer confidence in the level of service provided, developing relationships between customers and the organisation and providing a high level of service and workmanship at all times, to exceed client expectations.
