The apprentice will be partnered with a skilled Sewer to learn the trade during their 18 month apprenticeship. Upon completion, the apprentice will be qualified as a Level 2 Sewing Machinist.
Daily duties will include:

• Sewing upholstery and/or soft furnishings like cushions for sofas
• Using various sewing machines such as flat bed, overlock and twin needle
• Applying piping and inserting zips
• Working with various fabrics including some velvet and leather

• Someone with a good attention to detail
• A good listener
• Can follow instructions
• Must be willing to learn
• Someone who is looking to progress

No formal qualifications required.
