National Apprenticeship Week 2021 Build The Future 8th to 14th February 2021 was the 14th annual week-long celebration of Apprenticeships. The theme for this year’s National Apprenticeship Week was ‘Build the Future’ encouraging everyone to consider how Apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to build a workforce with future ready skills. As a result of the pandemic, for the very first time National Apprenticeship Week was entirely based in a digital world. NLTG are all about Apprenticeships and so we wanted to get involved in National Apprenticeship Week by shouting about Apprenticeships across all our social media channels. Here’s what we did… Launch Day We wanted to start the week with a burst of positivity for Apprenticeships and help get #NAW2021 trending. We shared some case studies of our own apprentices following the themes of ‘Train’, ‘Retain’ and ‘Achieve’. #AskAnEmployer Day We encouraged people to ask an employer any questions they had about Apprenticeships and we also shared answers to some questions that we had asked some of the employers we work with. #AskAnApprentice Day We encouraged people to ask an apprentice any questions they had about what it is like and had two North West Apprentice Ambassadors on hand all day to answer their questions. We also shared answers to some questions that we have asked our current apprentices. Thank You Thursday This is where we took the opportunity to thank the people who have helped in some way or another, when it comes to Apprenticeships. We posted some wonderful ‘Thank You’ messages from apprentices, employers and our tutors and encouraged others to get involved and post their own ‘Thank You’ message. Graduation Day It’s always nice to celebrate success and so we shouted about learners who have ‘Graduated’ and posted ‘Certification Selfies’ of apprentices who have completed their Apprenticeship. Parents & Carers Day Throughout the day we posted our FAQ’s to help parent’s and carers learn about the benefits of Apprenticeships and how they may be the perfect route for their child to build their future. I ❤ Apprenticeships Day On Valentine’s Day we focused on what makes Apprenticeships and National Apprenticeship Week, great. We posted comments from our apprentices, employers and tutors, telling us why they love Apprenticeships. It all happened on our social media channels. Why not have a look…
