Description

This position is for operative and machining duties within the manufacturing unit of a busy timber merchant business, including;
• Setting and operating general woodworking machinery
• Manual handling of stock and finished products
• Picking, preparing and packing materials to a defined list
• Checking all work for quality and accuracy
• Completing all paperwork fully and correctly
• Maintenance of stock and appropriate paperwork
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Working as part of a small and dedicated team
• Carrying out other tasks and duties as required
• Company work-wear is provided

Requirements

• Knowledge and some experience of working in a manufacturing environment an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Flexibility to carry out a variety of roles
• Prioritise workload
• Keen and willing to learn
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety
