Description

• The job can be quite physical at times so successful applicants will need to be of a fit state for physical work and be able to perform manual handling and capable of lifting 25kg if needed.
• The ability to pick customer orders in an accurate manner. This is a key role within the placement, so to be successful, concentration and attention to detail are absolute necessary qualities to have, as you will be responsible for assisting in the assembling and picking of customer order sheets for dispatch and that the correct procedures for stock issued are under diligent conditions.
• Responsible for assisting in the receipt of goods inwards and that they are under diligent conditions.
• Responsible for assisting in implementing the correct procedures of storage and rotation and that the coldstore is kept organized, the working environment clean, tidy and safe at all times, of which refuse and waste is controlled to avoid accumulations.
• Responsible for assisting in performing daily visual stock checks of suppliers to make sure stock levels in computer match the actual physical stock levels and assisting in the management of stock on a daily basis in co-ordination with the stock controller.
• Responsible for assisting in that the daily running of the coldstore is diligent with all procedures being followed and helping maintain that the Food Safety System is fully implemented and maintained on a daily basis.

Educational Requirements

GCSE grades 4-9 (A-C) in English and Maths
