We’ve been making traditional leather furniture from our Honley (West Yorkshire) base for over seven years and like each and every one of our sofas, it took time and hard work for Distinctive Chesterfields to get to where it is today. Built on strong family values, our company started life as a modest-sized team. With dedicated husband and wife duo Steve and Clare Laidlaw at the helm, the brand expanded to offer worldwide customers luxurious handcrafted furniture that’s built to last.

• Assisting Furniture makers in day to day tasks
• Helping in different aspects of the business such as upholstery, deep buttoning, fabric cutting, sewing and assembly operations
• You will be introduced to tooling, machinery and materials that will assist with their individual progression.
• Use of hand and power tools to assemble units
• Use of workshop machinery
• Assisting site operatives with installations
• Apprentices will be given daily tasks that they will perform under supervision

• Hardworking
• Keen and willing to learn
• Good communication skills

Grade 4 or above in maths and English, but not essential.
