Upholsterers are currently in very short supply in the UK so, as a skilled upholsterer, you should never be short of employment.

• Webbing and prepping of chair frame
• Understanding of foam, fibres and fillers
• Properties/capabilities of different types of fabric
• Various upholstery skills including tacking/back tacking, buttoning and de-buttoning, piped edges/double piped edges
• Developing a keen eye for quality
• Helping out in other areas when required
• Working within Health and Safety guidelines
• Keeping work area clean and tidy

• Good practical ability
• Keen and willing to learn
• Use own initiative whilst working in a small team
• Reliable and punctual
