Company Bio

In August 2001, Chris and Michael formed our company, Universal Smart Cards Limited. Having worked together at G4S and Gemalto, the largest smart card manufacturer in the world, they had the perfect platform to form a company specialising in smart cards and associated products.

Over the last 20 years our company has seen significant growth. Initially operating from a small office in Chris’ home, we now operate from 5 locations around the globe, including the UK, USA and China.

We are unique in that we have our own QC team based in China (through our sister company, Cardzgroup) inspecting all goods manufactured for our customers. Having our own supply-chain company based locally ensures the highest quality and best possible pricing for all our valued customers.

We also have a specialist Technical Centre in the UK where we manufacture, along with writing software for coding the full range of chips, including DESfire and Java. Our technical team have decades of experience in the smart card field and work with specialist equipment that means we can offer product personalisation above and beyond the norm.
