Company Bio

This role is based at our head office in Nelson on Lomeshaye Industrial Estate. The role encompasses both warehousing and supply chain duties which will require you to work as part of a team. As part of your warehouse duties, you will be expected to help receive goods, pick orders and maintain the upkeep of the warehouse whilst adhering to all health and safety standards. As this is an apprenticeship you will be given the time and support needed to complete the off the job learning in an appropriate office environment. As we are an electrical wholesaler it is common that employees are expected to be fit and healthy enough to do manual labour including lifting some heavy goods (either independently or with others) and carrying them around the warehouse.

Description

• Preparing and picking orders for delivery or collection both accurately and timely
• Goods receiving warehouse products and physically re-stocking items
• Performing warehouse inventory audits when requested
• Keep a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse in line with our Health & Safety standards
• Update the procurement team on low running stock or incorrect stock
• Operate the warehouse machinery safely and in line with our Health & Safety standards
• Be available to take courses that allow you to safely operate fork lift trucks and other lifting machinery if required
