The Warehouse and Storage qualification recognises the skills and competencies required of staff in the warehouse and storage workplace. This qualification is for learners currently working in the sector and is also available to those who do not currently work in the industry but would like to gain some of the skills needed.

As a Warehouse and Storage Operative, you’ll work as part of a team ensuring orders are processed to a high standard. You’ll move stock using various methods and equipment, eg by hand or by crane, hoist or forklift truck; ensure goods are picked, assembled and packaged ready for dispatch; load goods; maintain stock levels and records; and ensure working areas are clean. You may be required to load/unload vehicles and to work shifts such as nights, evenings and weekends.

Entry Requirments

You will need English and maths at GCSE Grade E / 2, or equivalent qualifications (eg Entry Level 3). If you do not have English or maths at this level, we will invite you to take a Skills Scan to check your current level of skill.
