The Supply Chain Operator (Traffic Office) qualification is predominantly work based and will provide the apprentice with the necessary skills to function in the role of a supply chain traffic office clerk.

You’ll be involved in managing the movement of goods for a range of manufacturers or suppliers to their final destination, or for onward delivery. You’ll learn how the Transport Management System (TMS) of your business works, which could include: planning routes and resources (such as vehicles, drivers and other staff); inputting and tracking deliveries; using related IT systems and technology; and processing goods. The role may require you to work shifts, such as nights, weekends and evenings.

You will need English and maths at GCSE Grade E / 2, or equivalent qualifications (eg Entry Level 3). If you do not have English or maths at this level, we will invite you to take a Skills Scan to check your current level of skill.
