Course Overview

The Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification provides a range of learning experiences to build and develop an individual’s knowledge, understanding and work performance. Whether new to the role or with some experience, this course enables individuals to gain a qualification that is directly related to the logistics sector.

You’ll be involved in a variety of activities including taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records/documents and ensuring work areas are clean. You will use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles which may include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or forklift trucks. You will need to be flexible as the role will often require you to work shifts including nights, evenings and weekends.

Course Duration

Up to 14 months (ie a practical training period of 12 months, followed by an End Point Assessment (EPA) period of up to 2 months).

Entry Requirements

You will have to take a Skills Scan to ensure your current level of maths and English is at the required level.

This role may be a gateway to further career opportunities in this sector, such as management or senior support roles, or to further study.
