You’ll develop the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively and efficiently with IT systems, communication and productivity tools and software applications.

You will study several mandatory units which cover the essential skills required for working in an IT environment, such as improving productivity using IT; understanding the potential of IT; and developing team and personal effectiveness. There are then a variety of optional units to choose from which focus on the specific tasks you will carry out within your future job role, which could include word processing, spreadsheet development, creating presentations, website design, database creation, data management, audio and desktop publishing. You may also develop computer maintenance and trouble shooting skills.
