The Glass Related Distribution and Warehousing qualification is aimed at those who undertake activities in the distribution and/or warehousing of glass and glass related products.

Working in a glass factory or large warehouse, you’ll ensure the business runs smoothly by maintaining and checking stock, and ensuring materials are received from or shipped to, a variety of locations on time.

Job roles include: stock controller (making sure stock levels are correct and maintained); picker (checking dispatch documentation, packing and labelling); goods in/goods out clerk (checking the correct items have been received or dispatched); goods loader/unloader.

Entry Requirments

You will need English and maths at GCSE Grade E / 2, or equivalent qualifications (eg Entry Level 3). If you do not have English or maths at this level, we will invite you to take a Skills Scan to check your current level of skill.

Assessment

• Practical observation in your workplace plus evidence of your skills and knowledge such as witness testimonies or training records.
