The Fenestration Surveyor qualification is for individuals working in fenestration surveying such as surveying work associated with glass supporting systems, including conservatories, other external glazed structures and advanced walling systems; surveying for doors and windows will also be undertaken.

This qualification is ideal for apprentices looking to become experienced surveyors and take a supervisory role, dealing with a wide range of issues, including working with installations that have complex requirements. Candidates for this qualification will primarily be working on and could be assessed in the context of surveying activities linked to Window and Doors or conservatories, or Curtain Walling.

Entry Requirments

You will need English and maths at GCSE Grade D/3 or above, or equivalent qualifications (eg Functional Skills at Level 1). If you do not have English or maths at this level, we will invite you to take a Skills Scan to check your current level of skill.

Assessment

• Practical observation in your workplace plus evidence of your skills and knowledge such as witness testimonies or training records.

Progression

After completing the Level 3 Apprenticeship, you can progress onto further study in the Glass Occupations sector or even a qualification in management.
