The Fascia, Soffit & Bargeboard Installation qualification is for individuals working as installers or fitters on customer’s premises, removing and installing fascias, soffits and bargeboards in glazing.

Facias are long boards running along the eaves of a roof, to which guttering is attached; bargeboards (similar to facias) are fitted to the gable ends or sides of a roof; and soffits are attached to the underside of fascia boards, adding extra protection and allowing air to circulate under the roof. You will work mainly outside on scaffolding and need a good head for heights.

All learners will cover the essential areas of communication, working with others, health and safety, installations, confirming requirements, handling materials and equipment and preparatory tasks.
