The Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures Level 3 qualification is ideal for those who are experienced in this area, working as Aluminium Fabricators, Conservatory Fabricators, Curtain Walling Fabricators and Window and Door Fabricators and who can demonstrate competence in the Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures.

The qualification includes improving the work of the organisation, communicating and working with others, applying coatings or treatments to products, fabricating glass supporting systems, preparing equipment processing materials, setting up equipment identifying technical problems, resources and checking quality. You may also be involved in promoting Health and Safety in the fabrication working environment.

Entry Requirments

You will need English and maths at GCSE Grade D/3 or above, or equivalent qualifications (eg Functional Skills at Level 1). If you do not have English or maths at this level, we will invite you to take a Skills Scan to check your current level of skill.

Assessment

• Practical observation in your workplace plus evidence of your skills and knowledge such as witness testimonies or training records.

Progression

After completing the Level 3 Apprenticeship, you can progress onto further study in the Glass Occupations sector or even a qualification in management.
