Every day, companies produce, manufacture and sell millions of food and drink products in the UK and worldwide, including cakes, biscuits, ice cream, soft and alcoholic drinks, confectionery, ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook food, sandwiches, wraps, dairy products, fresh fruit and salads.

As a Process Operator, you’ll work in the manufacturing side of the industry and your role will vary depending upon the company you work for. You may work in a small business such as a bakery, or large production company.

You’ll typically work on a production line using highly automated equipment and technology, to ensure products are produced to strict food and safety quality standards.
