The aim of this Advanced Site Carpenter Apprenticeship is to provide the opportunity for individuals who specialise in site carpentry to demonstrate their competence. It has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge, understanding and competence so you can work in Site Carpentry within the construction industry or progress to further training. As part of the Diploma, you will gain knowledge in three core subject areas: Health, Safety and Welfare, Technical Information, Quantities and Communication, Construction Industry and Built Environment. You will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in first fixing operations, second fixing operations, setting up and operating cutting and shaping machinery, erecting complex structural carcassing components, maintain non-structural and structural components.
