Alannah, based at our Bury Study Programme Centre and undertaking the Employability Skills programme, was first introduced to NLTG by her family keyworker and liked the idea that NLTG offered a smaller classroom environment, which she thought would help her to maintain focus within lessons and gain more 1-1 support.

Alannah has been working hard in all her lessons to gain her Employability Skills and Digital Skills qualifications, alongside her Functional Skills English and Maths. Since joining the course, Alannah’s communication skills have also immensely improved, having learned different words which have helped her to communicate with different people, resulting with her feeling a lot more confident with her reading.

What Alannah enjoyed most about her experience with NLTG was making new friends, learning new things that she can use in her personal life and that coming here allowed her to put herself out there.

Alannah and her family are also very proud of her for being one of NLTG’s 2022 highly commended learners for the Study Programme Learner of the Year award. Alannah’s feedback stated that would recommend the NLTG Study Programme course to her due to her positive experience.
