Congratulations to Simon Howe, NLTG Apprentice of the Year.
Following on from his success as NLTG Apprentice of the Year, Simon has now completed his hat trick of prestigious awards with success in the City and Guilds awards.
Simon’s first award was the City and Guilds Medal for Excellence in Logistics. Simon was honoured to receive a gold medal, with his name engraved on it, which was presented to him by HRH Prince Philip during a lavish ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
All Medal for Excellence winners are then invited to the Lion Awards ceremony in London where the 100 medals winners are filtered down to the top 10 awards. Simon received the Small Business Learner of the Year award and is pictured below receiving his award from Chris Harris, Head of City and Guilds, and celebrity guest George Lamb, who was master of ceremonies for the event.
Following on from his success, he was interviewed on BBC Radio Lancashire, outlining his work experience, recent achievements and discussing the value of Apprenticeships as an option to young people leaving school.
Ossur EMEA Operations Manager Carl Stoltz, Simon’s manager, commented, “Simon’s career is a real success story and a great example of how, with ability and hard work, there are no limits to what you can achieve. It’s fantastic to see that his achievements are also now being recognised outside of the company. We are very proud of him!”
