Health & Safety
The Health, safety and welfare of learners on NLTG delivered Government funded training programmes is our top priority.
We invest resources into employing a dedicated qualified and experienced health and safety team and train delivery staff so they are aware of their safety responsibilities.
We appraise, monitor and re-appraise environments in which learners are employed to ensure they provide an environment, in our opinion, that is conducive to the learners wellbeing.
We provide safety information to learners within their portfolio and this website details other useful information sources.
The last two Health and Safety audits carried out by the Learning and Skills Council in 2005 and 2007 assessed our provision as "Excellent".
For employers we offer a range of health and safety services, including carrying out various assessments, and training, on a commercial basis. Our "practical, down to earth" approach is welcomed by employers who also appreciate not having to be contractually tied into such services year on year. The quality of our provision is also highly regarded by external agencies e.g. Fire Authorities, insurance companies and the enforcing authorities.
