Adam Chadwick - Further Education Construction Programme
I was on e2e for twelve weeks. During my time at NLTG, I achieved a vast amount of experiences and qualifications. I went out on work experience at Age Concern; here I was given the chance to visit elderly people in their own homes and assist in minor general maintenance work such as hanging doors, unblocking sinks, fitting window locks, painting, pointing and fitting shelves. My second placement was at Homebase; here I was on the shop floor, stacking shelves, pricing up and helping customers.
I have done my first aid certificate, manual handling, confidence building, explorer, focus, winner, achieved three monthly 100% attendance bonuses and, most importantly to me, my CSCS card. I have just finished my AQA in the CoVE by making a container stool. I was nominated by my key worker for a ‘Learner Achievement certificate which had a £25 JJB voucher attached.
As part of my programme, I have been to Padiham Snooker club, Soccer Dome,10 pin bowling and attended a wide range of sessions to enable me to achieve all my individual targets.
I feel my experience at NLTG has greatly improved my confidence and my skills. I have now successfully achieved an Apprenticeship in Construction. None of this would have been possible without Diane and all the staff at NLTG. I am proud of all my achievements and would highly recommend NLTG to everyone.
