What is Information Technology?
You will be following a comprehensive training programme, which offers training in a variety of IT skills. It is varied and you could find yourself using the skills learnt in different environments.
What training will I receive?
The training covers the use of computers, from producing to printing a final document. This could include producing graphs, images, tables, spreadsheets and correctly formatted letters to the appropriate high standard. The IT qualification also covers computer maintenance and troubleshooting.

What qualifications will I get?
If you are following an Apprenticeship programme you will be assessed in the workplace by a qualified Training Officer. Depending on your abilities/employer's training opportunities, you will follow one of two routes:
1. Apprenticeship:
NVQ level 2 ITQ.
Key Skills.
Employee Rights and Responsibilities.
2. Advanced Apprenticeship:
NVQ level 3 ITQ.
Key Skills.
Employee Rights and Responsibilities.
All of our Training Officers are committed to you as the learner, giving you support where you need it most.
Apprenticeships are free for 16 to 18 year olds and 19 to 24 year olds. For those that cannot do an apprenticeship who are 19 years old and over *, you can do an NVQ plus Essential Skill in either literacy or numeracy via our Train 2 Gain scheme.
ATTENTION EMPLOYERS OUT THERE - Apprenticeships are not only free for most of your staff, they are also an excellent motivator for all, and show what type of employer you are, contact us for more information.
* for Train 2 Gain, you must be employed under a contract of employment, do not hold 5 GCSE grades at A-C (CSE grade 1), or an NVQ 2 or equivalent, do not hold an academic qualification at A level or above, not already on a Government funded programme.
