What is Information Technology?

You will be following a comprehensive training programme which offers training in a variety of IT skills. It is varied and you could find yourself using the skills learnt in different environments.

What training will I receive?

The training covers the use of computers, from producing to printing a final document. This could include producing graphs, images, tables, spreadsheets and correctly formatted letters to the appropriate high standard. The IT qualification also covers computer maintenance and troubleshooting.

If you are following an Apprenticeship programme you will be assessed in the workplace by a qualified Training Officer.

Which qualifications will I get?

Depending on your abilities/employer's training opportunities, you will follow one of two routes:

Intermediate level Apprenticeship:

Level 2 Diploma for IT Users.

Functional Skills.

Employee Rights and Responsibilities.

Advanced level Apprenticeship:

Level 3 Diploma for IT Users.

Functional Skills.
