Welcome to North Lancs Training Group.  We are one of the largest training providers in the country and we pride ourselves on the quality of our services to our learners.

We were established in 1969 and are owned by approximately 60, mainly furniture, companies located in the north west of England and Northern Ireland.

The North Lancs Training Group has been training young people for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience when supporting youth. In fact, over 72 of the Group’s professional staff are ex NLTG apprentices.

The suitability of all NLTG staff to work with young people is screened by the National Criminal Records Bureau.

We are committed to the continuous improvement of our service and we employ a team of professional people who are constantly undertaking training and development.

We are committed to total learner satisfaction with the emphasis on individuals and their needs.

We deliver Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeships and Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeships in a wide variety of occupations - Business Administration, Carpentry and Joinery, Catering and Hospitality, Customer Service, Furniture and Interiors Occupations, Food Manufacturing, General Manufacturing, Glass Occupations, Information Technology, Team Leading and Management, Warehouse and Storage, Woodmachining.

NLTG also offer Foundation Learning, the exciting pre-apprenticeship programme tailored to suit the needs of young people. It is a programme that was introduced in 2010 and aims to help young people who are not yet ready, or able, to directly enter employment or an Apprenticeship.

We have a Centre of Vocational Excellence for the woodmachining and furniture trades and a new Vocational Centre of Excellence.
